THANK YOU FOR JOINING US!
Dear Webfest Berlin Community,

We’ve come a long way since the journey began late last fall. Since then, we received 100 submissions from 16 different countries, screened 48 submissions over 7 submissions screenings, selected 42 submissions from 13 countries for our first ever Official Selection, and topped it off with 2 days of learning, discussing, watching and awarding web series at the inaugural Webfest Berlin.

I was absolutely floored by the quality of the series that we received and by the discussions that took place at Webfest Berlin. This is a great start for exposing German audiences to high quality web series from around the world, and for providing an international stage for German projects. We have made great strides in legitimizing the medium, bringing attention and awareness to independent creators, and in building a strong community of web series creators and enthusiasts here in Germany and around the world.

But we’re not done yet!! We’ve got a long way to go and a bright future to take advantage of. We haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of stories, storytelling techniques, collaborations, and business and distribution models that the web series medium makes possible.

We are already gearing up for next year, and we need YOUR feedback! Please send an email to info@webfest.berlin and let us know what you liked, what you didn’t like, what you want to see less of, and what you want to see more of. We are a community and we are building this together, so your opinion is heavily valued.

Make sure to stay tuned for news and announcements regarding Webfest Berlin 2016. Submissions are opening soon!

Warm regards,
Meredith Burkholder
